Structure of Courses

Structure of the Course

There are approximately 40 different types of entries including Technical and Non – Technical for both Boys and Girls into the Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force). These range from an age group of 16 ½ years to 42 years including Service Entries and TA and the qualifications ranging from 10+2 up to Post–Graduate level. 90% of the people are not aware of these entries and only come to know about them when they have crossed the qualifying age.

The aim of the Academy is two fold -

a)

To create awareness amongst the youth & guide them about the various career options open to them to join the Army, Navy and the Air Force.

b)

Secondly, help them to join the chosen option by coaching them in Services Selection Board Interviews including the newly introduced Screening Test as also to prepare them for the Written Examination for National Defence Academy and the Combined Defence Services Examination for IMA, OTA, Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy.

At the Academy we are providing the following :

a)

Free career guidance: This includes the various routes and procedures for joining the Army, Navy and Air Force as commissioned officers. We have been delivering lectures on “ The careers in the Armed Forces” in Schools, Colleges and NCC Cadet Camps.

b)

Preparation for written Examination For National Defence Academy /Naval Academy and the Combined Defence Services Examination & AFCAT.

SSB Interviews: Thorough preparation of candidates in all respects, for the Services Selection Board Interviews to include the latest Screening Test. The duration of the course is approx 10 to 15 working days and has been so structured that any aspiring girl or boy can join on any day and continue from thereon. The longer a candidate attends the better as he/she can repeat and gain greater confidence. Once a student joins me he/she can come for classes for any duration as many times for life. Fees are to be paid only once.

c) Spoken English and Personality Development.

In the very short span since inception of this Academy, we have already been successful in making a fairly large number of aspiring girls and boys realise their dreams of donning a Service Officer’s uniform (1682 Students have already cleared SSB for this Academy). We have also been able to coach a number of aspiring NCO’s & Other Ranks wanting to be commissioned as Officers and have made their ambition also come true.Widows of War Heros are welcome to the Academy and their coaching is absolutely FREE. It is an honour for me to help them wear the uniform.
